Why Choose Jennifer:
In short: I believe that good nutrition and exercise have the power to be transformational for folks. They were for me! When I was in high school, I was diagnosed with a medical condition that severely limited my ability to eat nourishing food and exercise. Over time, I slowly improved and as soon as I was able to start prioritizing those things again I did. I started lifting for the first time consistently after that, because I didn’t take it for granted anymore! It’s such a gift to be able to move our bodies and eat foods that fuel us. I hope to help folks see this process in that way, at least as much as possible :). When done well, diet and training should support our overall wellbeing and quality of life. That’s the goal!
I have a little boy who was born at the end of 2023, so I can understand the challenge of balancing work, having small children at home, spending time with friends/family, managing all of the other things that life demands of us, and trying to fit nutrition and exercise in there somewhere. I love helping folks identify what they CAN do in seasons where margin is limited (because I am there too!). I don’t believe that needs to keep us from being successful in this area, even if it may look a little different depending on the season. I’ve been consistently lifting and prioritizing my own nutrition for over a decade now and love helping clients find a groove that is sustainable for them as well!
Finally, I really strive to be a non-judgmental coach. My role is to support and encourage folks in reaching their goals, not to criticize shortcomings or struggles. I’m on my clients’ team 100% :). If you feel like you “lack discipline” or have struggled in the past to be successful in reaching your nutrition goals, I’d be a great fit for you!
