Dr. Christian Carter is the Director of Strength & Conditioning for Olympic Sports, serves as an Adjunct Professor in the Kinesiology Department, and operates the strength & conditioning intern program at a Division 1 University. His specialities include Weightlifting, sport performance, and nutrition.
Dr. Carter's previous work experience includes: Head Strength & Conditioning Coach for the USA Rugby Women's National Team, Assistant Weightlifting Coach at the Designated US Olympic Training Site in Johnson City, TN, Graduate Assistant Strength & conditioning coach at Virginia Tech, and internships at the University of Wisconsin and Arizona State University.
He earned his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology concentrating in Exercise Science from the University of Wisconsin, his Master's in Health Promotion from Virginia Tech, and his Doctorate in Sport Performance from East Tennessee State University.
Dr. Carter is originally from Illinois and currently resides in Virginia with his dog, Thatcher.
